Darren Kennedy is swapping sunny LA this summer for Dublin, as he steps into the hot seat at The Six O’Clock Show.
Katja Mia left the Virgin Media Show earlier this year.
A full time replacement hasn’t been confirmed for her, with Brian Dowling saying they are on the hunt at the minute.
He told us: “At the moment, there’s work being done behind the scenes, we’re meeting people, we’re doing lots of screen tests. Hopefully come the end of the year, there’ll be a new lineup on the show.”
Darren is so excited to be Brian’s “work husband” for the next few months.
Speaking to VIP Magazine on the Platinum VIP Magazine Style Awards red carpet, he explains: “I intially got involved with The Six O’Clock Show when Brian was going on paternity leave with baby Blue. We all just gelled.
“It’s all worked out in a way that I don’t think any of us could have envisioned. I’m loving doing the show. I have a lot of other stuff going on.”
And it looks like they are having an absolute ball!
“We’re always screaming, laughing during the ad breaks. We take it to the wire but we never step across it. We’re always professional,” he teases.
Well, we’re loving Darren and Brian on the sofa every day, long may it last.
