Bláthnaid Treacy is set to leave her Stoneybatter house after a decade and move back to her native Wicklow.
She and her husband, Charlie Moon, are in the process of moving themselves and their two young children, three-year-old Nancy and nine-month-old Jack out of their Dublin base.
However, this week they ran into a bit of a problem!
The presenter shared on social media that they have to leave their Stoneybatter home earlier than she thought.
“I thought we had to be gone by Friday, no, no. Gone by Thursday. So I’m down a day; I thought I had a whole other day to pack up and organise stuff, but actually sometimes I think when you get that little added pressure, it makes you be a little bit more organised,” she explained.
“We’re trying to make it look as nice as possible for the new people. I’m filming all day today, all day tomorrow, and then I get back Wednesday night, Thursday pack, pack, pack and then I’m gone.”
She went on to say: “I can’t believe it’s all happening now. I felt really sad, but now this week I actually feel really excited, but I’ll keep you all up to date; I’m sure there’s going to be tears.”
Bláthnaid spoke to VIP Magazine for our August issue about her big move.
“We made up our minds when I was pregnant last summer. In August we were in a family friend’s holiday home and there was so much space, Nancy was running around and we knew there and then we needed a change,” she tells us.
“We were trying to decide where to go and settled on Wicklow town. It has so much to offer and it’s really exciting.”
She gushed about her new home, telling us: “We grew up in Wicklow so we’ve family within the area. Where the new house is, it’s in such a quaint little village, it’s lovely.
“We were able to go into the house today and start getting measurements. We were telling the builders that we’ve been living in 64 square meters for a decade and he was like, ‘oh my God!’. We absolutely loved our house in Stoneybatter, Dublin and we’ll be so sad the day we close the doors behind us.
“That was our first home and we brought both of our babies back to that house, we had Covid in that house, there’s been so many memories, so many ups and downs. That’s how we got onto the property ladder.
“We’d both been working so hard for so many years. There was so much blood, sweat and tears, we put everything into that house. I’ll be really sad leaving it.”
