Katie Taylor’s highly anticipated final professional fight is almost here, with the Irish boxing legend set to make history at Croke Park this weekend.
The Bray native will face undefeated French boxer Flora Pili on Saturday, September 5, in what will be the final fight of her incredible professional career.

Who is Katie Taylor fighting?
Katie will take on Flora Pili in an undisputed super-lightweight world title fight.
The undefeated French fighter will be hoping to cause an upset and spoil Taylor’s emotional farewell on home soil.
Katie will defend her WBO, WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine titles, while also fighting for the vacant WBC super-lightweight championship.
When is the fight?
The fight takes place on Saturday, September 5, at Croke Park in Dublin.
Around 80,000 fans are expected to attend after tickets sold out within minutes of going on sale.
It will be the first time Katie has headlined a professional fight at Ireland’s iconic national stadium.
Can I watch it at home?
Yes!
As previously announced, RTÉ Sport has secured the Irish free-to-air rights to the historic fight.
The event will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player, while RTÉ 2FM will provide live radio commentary.
So, if you missed out on tickets, you can still watch Katie’s final professional fight from home.
What time does it start?
RTÉ’s live coverage will begin at 8pm on Saturday night and run until 11.30pm.
While the exact ring-walk time has yet to be confirmed, Katie and Flora are expected to enter the ring at around 10pm.
Who is on the undercard?
A number of Irish fighters will also feature on the Croke Park bill, including Thomas Carty, Paddy Donovan, Emmet Brennan and Molly McCann.
However, all eyes will ultimately be on Katie as she prepares to bring her professional career to an end in front of a home crowd.
Why is it so historic?
Katie’s Croke Park farewell marks the culmination of a remarkable career and fulfils a long-held dream of fighting at the iconic Dublin venue.
It will also be the first professional boxing event held at Croke Park since Muhammad Ali fought Al ‘Blue’ Lewis there in 1972.
Now, more than five decades later, Katie will make history of her own as she prepares for one final fight on home soil.
