After 15 years, Lottie Ryan bid farewell to RTÉ this week.
She is set to step into co-host The Six O’Clock Show alongside Brian Dowling.
Lottie was moved to tears as she signed off for the final time on Thursday.
“I hate fuss, so I really hate all of you for doing this. I really don’t have anything prepared to say,” Lottie said.
“There’s no neat way to wrap up 15 years of work in a place, and it’s a really big goodbye for me.
“I’m doing this with such a full heart. When I was looking back over the past couple of weeks as I was getting ready to say goodbye, I realised it’s actually nothing to do with the job, it’s the people.”
She went on to say: “The people in here are just the most amazing people, and I’m so grateful for every single person and all the laughs and how incredibly woven into the fabric of who I am everyone is. I’m with you all more than I’m with my own family, for God’s sake.”
All her co-workers came into the studio to say farewell to her as she was moved to tears.

“You are just a bunch of the most talented, generous people and I am just so grateful to every one of you. The job has been great, but it’s the people.
“It’s been a wild ride, and while I’m incredibly excited about the future, it doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. I love you all so much,” she said through tears.
Lottie will join The Six O’Clock Show in September.
