Lisa McGee is back and this time she will be diving into the world of Irish dancing.
We already know that this one is going to be absolutely hilarious.
Netflix confirmed she would be making another series with the streamer.
So what can we expect?
Well the logline reads: “Jig, a new six part mockumentary set in the high-stakes world of competitive Irish dancing, will shoot in Northern Ireland next year. Best friends Cara and Fletcher, from the struggling Sweeney School of Dance in Derry take on their sworn rivals in Florida, a slick, sponsored, seemingly unbeatable operation.
“We follow both teams as they journey towards the all important World championships. But who will lift that trophy?”
Lisa recently released her new series, How To Get To Heaven From Belfast, with the streaming service.
Speaking on the Pilot TV podcast, she was asked if this would be a “returning series”.
“I would love to because I think once you have a cast like this, it’s just such a pleasure to write for them,” she shared.
“You’re constantly thinking…I’m already thinking of what stupid situation they could get into, and I can hear them,” she revealed.
“But we’ll have to see. It’ll just depend on who watches this, but I’d certainly love to do another one.”
Lisa previously spoke to VIP Magazine about the writing process of the show.
She joked that she feels like she has been working on this show for “both an eternity and five minutes”.
She told us: “I started writing it during the prep for Derry Girls season three so I kind of shelved it and came back to it after that was all done.
“I had the idea a long time ago, wrote the pilot a long time ago, then brought it out and wrote the rest of it about maybe two years ago.”
