Barry Keoghan is currently filming The Beatles biopic alongside Paul Mescal.
But the Dublin man already has his next role lined up.
Netflix has announced that the world of Top Boy will be continuing with two brand new series.
Barry will return in a new prequel series as his character Jonny.
The show will be entitled Jonny Boy and will be just five episodes!
Fingers crossed for a second season…
“WOLFCUB Productions is proud to bring Jonny McGee — the character introduced in Top Boy’s third and final season — to the screen in Jonny Boy.
“We pitched our vision and idea to Netflix and the Executive Producers and they were so supportive in wanting to bring our passion project forward, exploring Jonny McGee’s origin story through a new bold lens,” said founders Barry Keoghan and Des Byrne.
The show will begin filming in 2027.
Jasmine Jobson will also be reprising her role of Jaq in a new show of the same name.
This show will have six episodes and will also start filming in 2027.
