Tracy Clifford

Tracy Clifford has announced that she is pregnant after previously opening up about her fertility struggles and IVF journey.

The RTÉ presenter shared the happy news on Instagram, posting a series of photos cradling her growing baby bump alongside her fiancé Mark.

Sharing the news with her followers, Tracy admitted that it “still doesn’t feel real” as she revealed that their “precious little miracle baby” is due in December.

“We still can’t quite believe it and are beyond grateful,” she wrote.

Tracy, who has been candid about her experience with fertility issues, also acknowledged that pregnancy announcements can be difficult for those going through their own struggles.

“I am acutely aware of how these ‘announcement’ posts can make those of us feel at times, particularly if they pop up on a bad day,” she said.

“We have considered not even posting at all because of this. But we do so, maybe to give hope…”

The broadcaster went on to explain that despite her pregnancy progressing well, she is still processing everything she and Mark went through to get to this point.

“It’s weird, because even though I am progressing well – I am still processing the trials and tribulations we’ve had and the time it took to get here,” she shared.

Tracy admitted that this was likely behind the tears she shed during her final 2FM show, joking that they could be blamed on her “progesterone injections”.

“Those tears were … relentless,” she joked.

She concluded her emotional announcement by saying that she and Mark are “beyond ready” to meet their new arrival.

“I’ll chat more about it soon, love Tracy, Mork and Harley.”

Tracy’s pregnancy comes after she previously spoke openly about her fertility battle, revealing that she and Mark had been undergoing IVF.

The broadcaster was diagnosed with stage three silent endometriosis after experiencing difficulties conceiving.

She and Mark had previously taken a break from their IVF journey, with Tracy explaining that they had reached a point where they were trying to be at peace with whatever the future held.

Now, the couple are preparing to welcome their “precious little miracle” in December.
