Of course, we can’t wait to see her take to the hot seat this autumn.

“Virgin Media has come into my life at exactly the right moment, and the future we’re already imagining together is incredibly exciting. I can’t wait to throw my whole heart at it.

“The Six O’Clock Show feels like a place where all the things I love most about broadcasting get to come together, great conversations, brilliant people, plenty of laughs and the chance to connect with viewers every single day.”

She went on to say that her new role means leaving 2FM, where she shares entertainment stories across shows.

“Deciding to step into something new also means choosing to close something behind you,” she explained.

“Over the past fifteen years, RTÉ has helped shape me into the broadcaster, and honestly, the woman I am today. It has challenged me, taught me a great deal and given me the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented teams in the business. To my 2FM colleagues, thank you for your support and camaraderie over the years. And to the listeners who are the reason any of it matters, thank you.

“I’ve spent a long time thinking about what I wanted my future to look like…The future looks like Six. See you in September x.”

She added in the comments: “Just wanted to say thank you all so much for each & every message. I’m blown away by the kindness & support.”

Huge congrats Lottie!
