Want to eat like Homer Simpson? Well a Krusty Burger restaurant straight out of Springfield is coming to Dublin!

There is something about food in cartoons that just looks perfect! Who didn’t spend hours craving a crabby patty, or some Scooby snacks? But now it seems we will actually be able to live out our childhood fantasies and eat an animated meal!

As a special pop-up Krusty Burger restaurant, inspired by the iconic cartoon The Simpsons, is coming to Dublin.

Based on the fast-food franchaised owned by Krusty the Clown, and frequented by the Simpson family along with the rest of Springfield, the pop-up will take place on 8th and 9th of September in the capital’s The Hen’s Teeth café and gallery.

As for what we can expect on the menu, they will be serving a whole host of cartoon treats from the show, With items like Flaming Moes, Krusty Burgers, Super Squishees, and lots more.

The event is in celebration of the Irish launch of The Unofficial Simpsons Cookbook by Laurel Randolph.

Laurel is an expert in all things Simpson’s cuisine, writing a long-running column for Paste Magazine called ‘Cooking the Simpsons’ where she recreated recipes from the show, before starting a blog and Instagram dedicated to the project, called The Joy Of Cooking Milhouse.

Sharing her excitement at bringing Krusty Burger to Ireland, the writer said on Instagram: “I’m beyond excited to partner with Hen’s Teeth and give my cookbook a proper welcome in Ireland. Come pig out with me Homer-style and celebrate all things unofficially Simpsons. Oh, and one more thing: eat my shorts, Dublin!”
