The Late Late Show helps to raise over €1 million for the Simon Community

Last night saw the Late Late Show raise an incredible one million euro for the Simon Community. This was the final episode of the show before Christmas and the aim was to raise money for Ireland’s homeless this festive season.

There were plenty of star-studded guests to keep host, Ryan Tubridy busy with Glen Hansard, Hozier, Shane McGowan, Roisin O, Imelda May as well as Bono and The Edge from U2.

Since 2010 Glen Hansard has made it a Christmas tradition to busk on Grafton Street on Christmas Eve and has done so every year for the past decade. The Commitments star would frequently be joined by other stars on the busy shopping street, including Bono.

However, this year their Christmas busking sadly won’t be taking place due to social distancing regulations amid the Covid-19 pandemic. So, instead they brought their tradition to the Late Late Show for 2020.
