Rosanna Davison has reflected on the time that she spent in Ukraine after welcoming her first child, Sophia, via surrogate.

She marked three years since the war in Ukraine broke out as she spoke about her bond with the country.

She shared pictures of herself with her husband, Wes Quirke in Kyiv as well as pictures of them with their newborn.

Rosanna also posted pictures of her with her surrogate, Anastasiia, who now lives in Ireland. The former Miss World helped Anastasiia relocate to Ireland after the conflict escalated in her country.

Rosanna wrote: “Sending love to Ukraine and our Ukrainian friends in Ireland today. Three years.

“Wes and I have such special memories of the weeks we spent in Kyiv in 2019 for our daughter’s birth by surrogacy. We stayed close to St. Sophia’s Cathedral and named our baby girl Sophia, to always remember the journey we went on to have her and to keep a connection to Ukraine.”

Rosanna previously reflected about her surrogacy journey to VIP Magazine, telling us: “When I think back to our surrogacy journey, I just focussed on the tiny victories and the little wins everyday, whether it was a scan or a message from the surrogate saying she was feeling great. With my masters degree I just focussed on each essay I had to do. Trying your best is all you can do.”
