Rachel Gorry has opened up about love and loss, admitting she never believed she would find happiness again after the heartbreaking death of her husband, Daniel, with whom she shares three children.
Taking to Instagram, Rachel reflected on what would have been their 14th wedding anniversary after getting married on 18 June 2012.
“Never take life for granted, grab it with both hands,” she wrote.
“I never dreamed that he would pass away in my arms nearly eight years later at the age of 29.”

She went on to explain that she never thought she would feel genuinely happy again until she met her now fiancé, Adrien, whom she affectionately calls Eddie.
“For years, I was a broken shell of myself, throwing myself into making the girls happy every day after losing their daddy.
“I threw myself into finishing the house that Daniel never got to finish.”
She also revealed how she threw herself into work, staying up until all hours of the morning as she couldn’t sleep.
“After a few years, I was so lonely. The evenings and nights are so long when you’re alone.”
But then Eddie walked into their lives, and she shared how he brought “hope, laughter, and love” back into their home.
“I can never thank him enough for loving my girls as his own, for giving us space to grieve while helping us find joy again, and for showing us that happiness can exist alongside the memories we carry.”
She concluded by saying that their family is what it is today because of the love he gives.
“I can’t wait to marry him next year.”
