Rosanna Davison wants to “support and empower women” with new career move

Rosanna Davison

Renovating their forever home wasn’t enough of a challenge for Rosanna Davison. No she decided to add in completing a degree into the mix.

She is about to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Therapy.

Speaking at this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards, she tells us: “I’ve always been really interested in human physiology and nutrition. I did a Master’s Degree just before Sophia was born in personalised nutrition, through Middlesex University.

“Then the opportunity came up to do a Bachelor’s Science Degree in nutritional therapy, which I am just completing. So I did that adjacent to moving house. It nearly finished me off! That’s where I want to steer my career.

“I’ve been studying the subject for years but I just wanted to complete the second degree in it. I guess my fertility experience guided my interest in women’s health, so I’ve decided to specialise in women’s health through nutrition. I just think it’s an area where a lot of us need guidance and support.

“I hope I can help with that and support and empower women at every stage of life.”

She admits that there is an “awful lot of confusion” surrounding women’s health and health in general.

“Everything I’m doing is evidence based. It’s all based on the literature. I find it very empowering that you can take control of your health and how you feel by changing habits,” she shares.

“And it doesn’t have to be extreme, it can just be by adding something in or taking something out. It can change the way you feel in life, your enjoyment, your energy level, your sleep.”

Of course, that’s not the only big move that she has made this year as she, her husband, Wes Quirke and their three children, Sophia, Hugo and Oscar have moved into their forever home.

“We moved in six or seven months ago. So boxes are unpacked, everyone is settled. All the little snags are mostly dealt with. We’re doing a bit of work in the garden over the summer, getting some garden furniture,” she shares.

The little ones “love it”!

“They love the space, they love their new rooms. They’re so happy and we’re delighted. It’s a lot of work to move house, and pack everything up. We’re thrilled,” she beams.

She jokes that there was no fighting over rooms, as they just “assigned” the trio their rooms.

“Although the twins are in the same room because they are just obsessed with each other. You just can’t tear them apart. They pine for each other when they’re apart, even if I have to bring one to a doctor’s appointment. They have a great time!”

After she finishes up in two weeks she plans to simply “relax”.

“I’m finishing up a degree in two weeks. I will be relaxing, having a bit of fun, we hope to go away at some stage as well. My dad is doing a tour in Germany over the summer,” she explains.

“So I’m going to try to get the kids over to one of his concerts because they’ve never seen a concert of his. They just know him as Bam Bam, that’s what they call him because they can’t say Grandpa. I just want to relax and have a bit of fun over the summer because it’s been such a busy year and a half.”
