Aimee Connolly: “Success for me is building a brand with longevity and real impact”

At 33 years old, Aimee Connolly employs 135 people, has offices in Dundrum, Dublin and Soho, London.

She has four flagship stores (in Dublin, Kildare Village, Belfast and London), and her product range — skincare, makeup and bodycare — is stocked in over 600 retailers all over, including Australia and the UAE.

Sculpted by Aimee is one of the country’s favourite makeup brands.

For June, we sit down with Aimee, after she jets home from Canada, to chat about the rise and rise of Sculpted…

“There’s definitely a responsibility that comes with being founder-led and customer-facing,” she tells us.

“People associate the brand with me personally, which is amazing but also means you carry a lot mentally. That said, I’ve built an incredible leadership team around me and I’ve learned the importance of leaning on people and not trying to do everything myself.”

Next year, Sculpted will celebrate 10 years in business. And Aimee is ready to continue building on the success.

“Success for me is building a brand with longevity and real impact. Of course growth matters, but it’s also about creating jobs, creating products people genuinely love and building something Irish that can compete on a global stage,” she explains.

“I still feel like we’re at the beginning of what Sculpted can become.”
