Rex Ryan has gushed about his mother, Morah’s, relationship with her partner Don in a rare interview.
The actor enthused that he is “really happy“ for his mam.
Morah was previously married to Gerry Ryan, Rex’s late father, and is now in a relationship with the popular Irish singer, Don Mescall.
Rex added that he believes it takes “courage“ to go public with a relationship “later in life“.
“It takes great courage to come out with a new partner later in life because there’s always the danger of it not going to plan.“
“It’s a risk saying I am committing to this person in public. But I’m glad mum choose Don because I get on with him, and I’m really happy for her. He’s a very talented guy who I’ve welcomed into my own theatre to play gigs,“ he told The Sun on Sunday.
Rex is the eldest child in the Ryan household, with the rest of the brood being made up of Lottie, Bonnie, Elliot and Babs.
The move is emotional for the Ryans as it’s the home that they shared with husband and dad Gerry, before his passing in 2008.
However, while the house is now officially off the market, Morah isn’t moving too far from her girls.
Instead, she is downsizing to an apartment in the same area, Morah is believed to be living just a stone’s throw away from eldest daughter Lottie. This means she’ll be on babysitting duty at any moment’s notice.
