Could Patrick Kielty be bowing out of The Late Late Show when the show comes to an end this summer?

The series will wrap up until the autumn at the start of May.

And it’s believed that this very much could be his last season.

When the comedian first signed the contract for the series for just three seasons.

And when the show finishes up on Friday, May 1st, he will have fulfilled this.

The Irish Independent reported on the show’s end date.

However, there has been no update on whether he will be returning next season.

A spokesperson from RTÉ told the Irish Independent it “does not comment on individual’s contracts”. However, they did confirm that a statement on the status of The Late Late Show’s presenter would be released in the coming weeks.

It comes after the former host, Ryan Tubridy shared that he has left his Late Late Show days behind.

He was asked if he would go back to the hosting gig if he was offered when appearing on The Six O’Clock Show.

“I think my Late Late days are done. I really enjoyed it while it lasted,” he said.

“I will say, I would have stayed around a little longer if they had shortened the run and the time. But that wasn’t really an option, unfortunately, but for now, no.”

He went on to say: “It’s also not a position vacant as far as I see in the papers, he is still a going concern.

“We have to let the man finish his gig and see where it goes.”
