The VIP List: Here’s what we’re loving this week

What are you loving this week?

Well, we’re hoping that you’ve loved voting for this year’s Platinum VIP Style Awards. And if you haven’t yet, worry not because you can get your votes here.

Here’s what we’re loving this week…

…a refreshing drink

I absolutely love a fizzy drink as an afternoon pick-me-up. But I also want to make sure that what I put in my body is good for me.

So imagine my surprise when I came across Living Things, which is a fizzy drink that is good for your gut!

Living Things is lightly carbonated, low in sugar and high in fibre – with 6.6g of fibre per can and only one teaspoon of sugar, naturally derived from fruit juice.

Each can also contains 2 billion prebiotic colony-forming units per can, helping to support gut health and digestion. With no artificial sweeteners, flavours, or additives, it’s a clean, refreshing choice for anyone who wants more from their soda.

They have five different flavours and my personal favourite is Raspberry & Pomegranate.

…sharing a walk

Jennifer Zamparelli

…being hydrated

I’m always dehydrated, it has been a problem since I was a teenager. I don’t know how to remedy it (drink more water) but I am trying.

Enter Hydrate+ Powder Formula from JSHealth. It is an advanced Mineral Electrolyte formula that combines hydration with gut-loving Probiotics to help you feel revitalised and refreshed from within.

So it’s right up my street!

…minding my hair

I’ve been on a hair care journey for years now after bleaching it for almost a decade. Now that I’ve put the bleach down, I’ve been trying to get it back to the fullness it once was.

One brand I’ve constantly been reaching for is Kérastase and now that the Chronologiste range has dropped at Cloud 10 I couldn’t be more delighted.

As hair matures, it can become drier, duller and harder to manage, often losing volume and smoothness along the way. Chronologiste is Kérastase’s most advanced anti-ageing haircare ritual, expertly created to help address the five key signs of ageing hair, dryness, dullness, frizz, thinning and loss of volume.

…a staycation

I have to admit, I’ve never been to Kilkenny in all my years living in Ireland. I can’t believe that I’ve managed not to explore the gorgeous city.

And I almost missed out on it again because I was so in love with my stay at Newpark Hotel. As soon as we checked in, we were absolutely spoiled. We spent our first day in the spa, enjoying a much needed shoulder and back massage before heading to the suana to truly unwind.

We explored the grounds including Jurassic Newpark, which if you have little ones is the perfect way to spend the afternoon. You can step back in time and walk among dinosaurs in the park.

We then enjoyed a delicious three-course meal with the most friendly staff who walked us through the menu and wine options. They were so helpful and ready to answer any questions we might have.

Oh and did I mention our room had a hot tub? Well, we were treated to a rare sunsoaked weekend so we got to really enjoy the immenity. As we were staying on an adults only floor, we also got to have breakfast in the adults only section of the restuarant.

So it’s perfect for families, couples and girls trips away.

…new music

Olivia Rodrigo is back with her brand new single, drop dead.

The American singer confirmed that her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is coming out in June.

And we got a taster of what that album will sound like with her new song.

Safe to say I’ve been listening on repeat all day!

…Irish art

I love heading to the theatre. I just adore plays and musicals, especially when they have an Irish connection.

So I can’t wait for The Delirium Archive! The play follows the O’Connor family, who have lived in lockdown on the Mayo coast, sealed inside their home by a mysterious, toxic yellow fog.

Selected for a breakthrough memory‑collection trial, they have been promised a digital life raft in a decaying world: a future where every confession, every truth, and every piece of them will live forever inside the Delirium Corporation’s Archive.

But when a corporate agent arrives to complete the process, doubt begins to seep in. Can technology truly capture the intricacies of love and family? And who gets to decide what is preserved forever?

The Delirium Archive opens on Tuesday, April 21st and runs until Saturday, May 9th. Find out more here.
