Former Irish rugby captain Jamie Heaslip walked up the aisle with Sheena O’Buachalla today, surrounded by many of his fellow stars and their partners. Together for over 5 years, the happy couple celebrated their big day in the company of many rugby luminaries, with guests such as Brian O’Driscoll and wife Amy Guberman, Gordon D’Arcy and wife Aoife Cogan, Johnny and Laura Sexton all expected to attend.
The bride wore a stunning ivory dress with a long, chiffon train, while Jamie looked equally dashing in a traditional tuxedo. The ceremony took place in the University Church on St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2, and the guests will celebrate the event at a lavish party in a yet unnamed location in Dublin city centre tonight.
The couple got engaged last December, though they only admitted to this a few weeks later, a sign of how they like to keep their private life just that. “I am fine about my rugby stuff being talked about,” Jamie has said, “but I like to keep my private life exactly that – private. Mainly because the people in it didn’t ask to be in the public eye. Family and friends and all that I keep separate.”
Everyone in VIP Towers extends their best wishes to the happy couple.
