Doireann Garrihy took to Instagram to praise her former RTÉ co-host Donncha O’Callaghan.
The rugby star bid farewell to 2FM on Friday just over a month after Doireann hung up her mic.
Carl Mullan paid an emotional tribute to his pal after the show aired.
And now Doireann has also bid farewell to Donncha.

She shared some snaps of herself with Donncha and wrote: “Where to start with a guy like Donners. A once in a lifetime friend and colleague.
“I have learned so much from Donncha about the meaning of teamwork and always looking out for others. The best part is, he doesn’t even know he’s doing it. Just by being himself, he is the most perfect example of someone who lets everyone else shine.”
She went on to give Donncha’s upcoming book a shoutout as well: “A selfless, gorgeous person to his core. I feel so blessed to have spent 3 years working with you Donncha. You’re the big brother I never had and the Disastrous Dad the nation needs right now (link in @donnchaocallaghan bio – as you’d say yourself “keep goin’ swan and f**k the rats”).
“The nation will miss your beaming, breakfast time positivity. Another legendary chapter.”
Ah, Donncha, you’ll be missed!
