The VIP List: Here’s what we’re loving this week

The sun is shining. We’re slathering on the SPF and braving the heat this week. (And contemplating buying an AC unit!)

But between soak up the sun, we have had time to enjoy some of our favourite things in life!

Here’s what we’re loving…

…a blockbuster

Do you know where has air conditioning? The cinema…but that’s not the only reason you should go to the pictures!

The Odyssey hits cinemas this week and if you haven’t gotten a ticket yet, I couldn’t recommend going to see this epic put to film. I am a bit of a mythology nerd so I was going to impressed either way. But Christopher Nolan truly is a genius and there is no one else who could take on this titan.

With Matt Damon at the helm, everything about the film is smooth sailing.

The Odyssey hits cinemas on July 17th.

…luxury for charity

Linda Kiely quietly built one of the country’s most impressive private designer wardrobes. Now she is parting with some of her most coveted pieces in aid of charity.

In partnership with Cork-founded luxury resale platform Luxury Exchange, Linda and her husband Dan Kiely are releasing an extraordinary edit of Linda’s personal collection in a one-day charity shopping event taking place at Studio 10, Wicklow Street, Dublin on Saturday, 18th July.

Featuring more than 300 pieces of Linda’s private collection, valued at over €150,000. The exclusive sale will offer fashion lovers the rare opportunity to shop exceptional ready-to-wear, footwear, and accessories alongside a number of one-of-a-kind garments from some of the world’s most sought-after fashion houses including Chanel, Dior, Balmain, Gucci, Tom Ford and many more.

…skincare for the whole body

I am a huge fan of No7’s Good Intent skincare range. And when I found out that they were expanding into bodycare I was first in line to get my hands on the products!

By bringing skincare actives like Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and CICA to the entire body, No7 Good Intent elevates daily body care from a chore into an empowering ritual. The new body collection features eight sensorial formulations, subtly scented with bergamot essential oil and designed to target specific skin concerns from dullness and uneven texture to dehydration.

I’m a massive fan of the Dew Bank Water Serum and the Pore Buff Body Moisture Melt Body Serum.

…a sunsoaked tipple

Who needs to go to the French Riviera when we have the weather here in Ireland?

And what is better, after a long day at work, than sitting outside with friends and family enjoying a tipple?

I’ve been enjoying a new Provence rosé to discover this summer with the launch of Le Grand Palme, created by Irish Master of Wine Ray O’Connor.

Produced in the renowned Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation in the south of France, Le Grand Palme is crafted from a classic blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle. Made using traditional Provençal winemaking techniques, it delivers the fresh, dry and elegant style that has made Provence the world’s benchmark for rosé.

…multi-use beauty

In this weather you don’t want to be putting loads of beauty products on your face. So I love a product that can do a few jobs! A multitasker if you will.

I absolutely adore Hildun Beauty’s new Blur Balms.

A multipurpose lip and cheek unique velvet mousse like blurring formula. It’s a unique light but creamy blurring formula that is comfortable on the lips and cheeks and the perfect on the go chic addition to your travel plans this summer!

…festivals celebrating Irish culture

The Liberties Festival is one of Ireland’s longest-running community festivals, celebrating the culture, heritage and character of Dublin 8 through a week-long programme of arts, music, sport and family events.

Diageo Ireland is celebrating its third consecutive year as a proud sponsor by reviving the Bartenders’ Race, a much-loved local tradition dating back to the 1960s – this year supported by Guinness 0.0. The race dates back to the 1960s.

Taking place on Sunday 26th July at 5:15pm, participants will race from The Lark Inn on Meath Street to The Liberty Belle on Francis Street with plastic pint glasses of Guinness 0.0, recreating a piece of Dublin’s cultural history and providing a fitting finale to this year’s festival.

…a stylish jersey

We’ve all been hit by World Cup fever and trying to get a chic jersey is easier said than done. And unfortunately if you’re an NFL fan, it’s really impossible.

Sorry to American football but the jerseys just aren’t all that stylish!

The NFL and Fanatics today unveiled the 2026 edition of Football x Football, a global collection that reimagines NFL club identity through the lens of football culture and design heritage.

Each of the 32 NFL clubs has been reimagined through the visual heritage staples of classic football kits — collar details and patterns inspired by decades of football shirt design traditions — with detailing matched to team colors and logos, staying true to the identities of each NFL club.

The collection goes on sale July 17th here.

…a family day out

Dublin Zoo is always a brilliant family day out, especially when the sun is shining! We recently visited and loved exploring the new Animal Bricktacular — a spectacular brick-built safari experience running for a limited time this summer.

With over 40 life-sized animal sculptures made from an incredible 3.5 million colourful bricks, it’s seriously impressive and adds a fun extra element to your zoo visit.

Definitely worth checking out before it’s gone, especially for any LEGO fans.

…staying hydrated

It can be hard to stay hydrated during the summer months — especially during a heatwave — so any extra help is always welcome!

I’ve started adding JSHealth Hydrate+ to my daily routine and I really love the refreshing Pink Grapefruit flavour. Hydrate+ is an advanced Mineral Electrolyte formula that combines hydration with gut-loving Probiotics to help you reset and feel refreshed from within.

It’s ideal for anyone (like me!) that isn’t always great at getting enough water in, for hot days, or as a boost after a workout. It’s also so handy to just throw in your bag for holidays or when you’re on the go.

…skincare for babies

As a mam of an almost 9-month-old, I’m always on the lookout for the best skincare products for my daughter’s sensitive skin, so I was delighted to discover new Irish brand Softie Baby.

Created by mum Ciara, the range was born from a desire for better skincare options for little ones, with gentle, fragrance-free formulas designed to care for delicate baby skin from birth.

Softie Baby launches with two hero products: the No-Rinse Cleansing Cream, a gentle alternative to wipes and nappy balm, and the Baby Cloud Cream, a daily moisturiser packed with skin-loving ingredients to nourish and support your baby’s delicate skin barrier.
