She’s officially back on the airwaves!
Doireann Garrihy has returned to RTÉ 2FM following her maternity leave, stepping into a brand new chapter with her very own mid-morning show.
Now, she’s back behind the mic with 2FM Morning with Doireann Garrihy, airing weekdays from 10am to 12pm, where listeners can expect plenty of engaging chat and her signature humour.
“Thank you for joining me on the show this morning,” Doireann told her listeners.
“I’m back! I’m back after mat leave and you’re trying to get me crying. The texts are absolutely gorgeous,” she noted.
Fans were quick to share their excitement at hearing a familiar voice again.
“Welcome back, Doireann. We most definitely all missed you,” one listener wrote, while another added: “So delighted Doireann is back.”

Sharing her own thoughts ahead of her return, Doireann said: “One of my favourite phrases is ‘two things can be true at the same time’.
“I can be sad to be finishing my mat leave, and I can be excited to get back to doing what I love,” she added.
“I’m so ready.”
