Daryl McCormack is quickly becoming a household name.
His two BAFTA wins have certainly solidified that.
He was nominated for not only EE Rising Star Award but also for the Best Actor Nomination following his incredible turn in Good Luck to You, Leo Grande.
We were holding our breath as the Rising Star Award was being announced.

But it wasn’t meant to be for our Daryl.
He missed out on the Rising Star Award to Emma Mackey. The English actress is best known for her role in Sex Education.
However, in recent years she has appeared in Emily in the titular role as Emily Bronte. She will also be appearing in the highly anticipated Barbie film.
Tipperary man, Daryl is best known for his work in Peaky Blinders, Wheel of Time and Bad Sisters. He got his start in Fair City, of course!
In 2022, he made his breakthrough big-screen role alongside Emma Thompson in comedy-drama Good Luck to You, Leo Grande.
The EE Rising Star Award is the only category at the BAFTAs that is voted for by the public.
Previous winners include Tom Holland, Tom Hardy, John Boyega and Letitia Wright.
