All hell broke loose at last night’s UFC 202 press conference, as Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz had an explosive row in front a room full of people.
The Crumlin native arrived over half an hour late to the Las Vegas venue, and Diaz wasn’t impressed with him in the slightest.
Diaz furiously left the stage, cursing Conor and his whole team, however things descended into chaos as the pair ended up flinging water bottles and cans of energy drinks across the room, aiming at each other.
In an interview shortly afterwards with Sports Centre, Conor said, “I see it as handbags. They walked out shouting, talking. But what was it? We’re here ready to fight. We’re ready for war. So let’s bring it.”
He then told the LA Times, “I just saw bottles being thrown. I was like, alright, f*ck that. You want to try throwing bottles? I’ll throw cans.” He then sarcastically added, “But it was all in self-defence. I was scared for my life.”
One thing’s for sure – their fight on Saturday night will certainly make for interesting viewing!
