Macklemore has always been vocal about his love for Ireland in the past, and now he’s released a special video, along with Ryan Lewis, for his cherished Irish fans.
The US superstar is playing in Dublin’s 3Arena in 2016, and the clip shows how he has progressed over the years throughout different concerts in the capital.
Starting out in the Twisted Pepper in 2011, followed by The Academy in 2012 – where he declared Dublin as his favourite place to play in the world – the video concludes with the Same Love musician’s last appearance in Ireland, a sold out gig in Marlay Park last year.
It’s not the first video Macklemore has made for our emerald isle; in fact, he even wrote a song about his love for the country.
His tune ‘Irish Celebration’ discusses his close relationship with Ireland, and mentions his roots here – in case you didn’t know he was born to Irish heritage with the name Ben Hagarty.
