Rachel Gorry has opened up about life with her twins as Evie and Ryan recently celebrated their first birthday.

The influencer welcomed the little ones with her fiancé Adrien Kiernan last year, with the twins arriving six weeks early.

Now, as they reach the milestone, Rachel has been reflecting on the realities of raising two babies at once, admitting that while it doesn’t necessarily become “easier”, you do learn how to handle the chaos.

Taking part in an Instagram Q&A, Rachel was asked if life with twins gets easier, to which she gave a refreshingly honest response.

“Honestly, it does. But I don’t think easier is the right word,” she said.

“I think a big part of it is that you just get better at handling the chaos.”

Rachel also encouraged other parents to be gentle with themselves, reminding them that every stage brings its own challenges.

“At 10 weeks corrected, you are still SO early into it and very much in the trenches, so be really gentle with yourself,” she shared.

Looking back on her own experience, Rachel admitted she remembers wondering how she would manage looking after two babies every day.

“I remember thinking, ‘How am I actually supposed to do this every single day?!’”

While she said life doesn’t suddenly become easy, Rachel explained that parents eventually find their own rhythm and begin to trust themselves more.

“It doesn’t suddenly become easy, and every stage brings something different, but you do find your rhythm, you trust yourself more, and it all starts to feel a lot more manageable,” she said.

And despite the chaos, Rachel said the smiles and laughs make it all worthwhile — even if there are still moments where she questions how she’ll do it all again the next day.

“Then you get the smiles, the laughs and watching them together, which makes all the madness so worth it… till they both start screaming at the same time and I think, ‘How am I supposed to do this again tomorrow?’” she joked.

“But we do.”
