Stephanie Davis has been forced to delete a tribute to David Gest following fan backlash on social media.
The former Hollyoaks star claimed that herself and Jeremy were the “last to get a picture with him,” and fans weren’t happy.
They took to Twitter and slammed Stephanie for apparently trying to make David’s death about her.
While she deleted that tribute, the star did post other heartfelt posts about David.
Stephanie said, “What an amazing man and a please to have had times with you, me and Jezz, gutted. Love you always. Amazing person. Heartbroken. Devastated x”
Before going on to say “Is this a joke? Shocked. So sad.”
Stephanie also shared a photo collage of times herself and Jeremy spent with David in the Big Brother house. She captioned the picture, “Whoever got to meet David would know what a legend he was with his timeless funny stories. Gutted. Love you grandad D.”
It was confirmed yesterday that the 62 year old had passed away in a London hotel room.
