Summer is here and we’re trying to soak up as much of the sunshine as we can…while we have it in Ireland!
If you’re searching for the perfect family day out then look no further, as Taste of Kildare is the destination for you.
The festival promises a weekend of food, music and family fun brought together by Kildare’s amazing talent. And we promise there is so much talent!
Taking place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of August, in the Naas Racecourse, the festival will showcase some of Kildare’s leading chefs, artisan producers, restaurants and hospitality businesses, alongside live cookery demonstrations, tastings, family entertainment and interactive experiences.

This year’s festival promises something for the whole family, with live chef demonstrations on the Calor Gas Chef Stage, artisan food and drink producers, interactive experiences, family entertainment and a packed programme of live music across the weekend.
If you love cooking as much as eating, you’ll also have the chance to watch some of Ireland’s leading chefs share their skills live on stage.
Chef demonstrations will entertain the masses, with Aisling Larkin on the Calor gas chef demo stage, not to mention Racheal Allen, Kevin Dundon, Eva Pau, Adrian Martin, Philip Gleason, Graham Herterich (The Cupcake Bloke), and much more.
And that’s not all! Visitors can also enjoy afternoon tea with a twist at the Keadeen Hotel, perfect for taking away to enjoy picnic-style wherever you choose, or experience the Killashee Hotel’s BBQ with chef Philip Gleeson.

The undercover producer market will also offer a wonderful opportunity to meet the people behind some of Kildare’s best-loved food brands and pick up delicious treats to take home. Seriously, so delicious!
Whether you’re browsing local makers, relaxing with friends over lunch or dancing along to live performances from Newbridge Gospel Choir, Spring Break, Casa Disco, Noughty Tribute and Cliona Hagan, the entertainment continues throughout the weekend.
Sure, how could you say no!
If you’re bringing the children along, you’ll be pleased to know they’re just as well catered for.

The dedicated Family Zone features favourites including face painting, outdoor games and a pet farm from Nore Valley Park, giving little ones plenty to enjoy while parents explore the festival.
Even better, kids under 10 go free, making Taste of Kildare an affordable family day out during the summer holidays.
Taste of Kildare is brought to you by Into Kildare and supported by Kildare County Council and is proudly sponsored by Kildare County Council, Queally Group, Keadeen Hotel, Killashee Hotel, Calor Gas and Fitzpatrick’s Garages.
Adult tickets are available from €15, while children under 10 years of age can attend free of charge. Tickets can be purchased now at https://tasteofkildare.ie/tickets/.
