At one point it looked like Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald could make it to the Love Island final.
However, after Casa Amor the tide really turned for him and his partner, Lola.
Lola went head-to-head with Casa Amor bombshell Julia over the last few episodes. Fans were unhappy with how the scenes played out on their screen and it seemed like Lola and Fitzy’s days were numbered.
On Sunday night, they were in the bottom three couples following a public vote alongside Martha and Jordon and Mica and Samraj. Favourite couple Lorenzo and Julia were tasked with picking who would be dumped from the villa.
However, ultimately Lola and Sean chose to volunteer to leave the villa.
“We’re so excited. All we did in there was talk about the future and now we actually get to start that next chapter,” Lola said about her relationship with Sean.
“We’ve got loads of plans. I’ve said I’ll move to Dublin, which I’m so excited about. I can’t wait to watch one of his football matches.
“We’ve talked about travelling together and just enjoying normal life. Honestly, the things we’re most excited about are the boring things. Having a Chinese, watching a movie. He loves a chick-flick, so I couldn’t have found a better boy. He’s literally my dream man.”
