The Saturdays star Una Foden has revealed she got her own back on Bressie after he slated her on last week’s Voice of Ireland sing-off.
Una has admitted she was furious over the rocker’s comments regarding her song choice on the RTE talent show, and she made sure to get her revenge.
On Sunday, Bressie said the song Una picked for her two contestants Mags White and Nigel Connell was an unfair choice.
“It was a good arrangement of that song but it definitely suited you more Nigel,” he said. “It’s a male vocal really and it’s in that particular register you can break your voice up and get raspy.
“That one one hand isn’t massively fair when a singer can’t sing in the register where they’re strongest.”
Una hit back on 2FM’s Breakfast Republic today, admitting she saw red at the time. “You could see the real feisty side came out in me,” she said.
“He basically accused me of being unfair. I, as a coach, believe I chose a great song for both of them to showcase how great they both were and it was up to them on the night then to battle it out.”
Una added: “I got really annoyed with him and I just couldn’t let it go. I did get him back so I think it’s maybe on this week or next week’s show that you’ll see that, in my eyes, he chose quite an unfair song and I took a swipe at him.”
Ooh, it’s getting catty – we can’t wait to tune in this weekend!
