Bressie has opened up about his next career moves, as he swears off entertainment shows.

The former judge of The Voice of Ireland, alongside Una Healy, Kian Egan and the late Dolores O’Riordan –  said that despite enjoying his time on the show, that he won’t be going back in a hurry!

“I loved it but it is a different type of television. TV is hard,”he told RSVP.

“I loved it when it was on and it was enough for me to know that I won’t be doing entertainment television ever again.

“I love documentaries and documentary based television like Louis Theroux. Meeting people, interesting people, not you would never ever get to meet in my type of television.”

The 38-year-old Blizzards singer is currently studying for his masters in psychotherapy, after releasing his first Children’s book last year.

“I have spent the last couple of years back studying and I have kept my focus on mindfulness and mental health,” Bressie revealed.

“I adore studying now because it is not forced learning. I am doing it because I like it. Saying that, there are definitely some stressful parts.”

Following the success of his memoir Me and My Mate Jeffery in 2015, the star released children’s book Magic Moment last October, which he revealed was inspired by his nephew.

“I have been reading a lot in the last couple of years and I have a six-year-old nephew who is everything in my life.

“I remember looking at him one day and thinking that he has a lot to deal with and a lot to process. I wanted to help him and people like him to, in some way, navigate the chaos of their lives. It is entirely different to when I was growing up.”

Would you watch a Louis Theroux style documentary starring Bressie!?
