Two Irish stars are set to join the world of Peaky Blinders.
Yes, the BBC has announced that Irish actors Conleth Hill and Cal O’Driscoll have been cast in the highly anticipated Peaky Blinders spin-off series, which is currently filming in Birmingham.
Fans will recognise Conleth from his iconic role as Varys in Game of Thrones, while Dublin actor Cal O’Driscoll has previously appeared in Video Nasty.
The new series will be set in 1950s Birmingham and follows the next generation of the Shelby family as they navigate life in the aftermath of World War II.

Conleth will play Clemmy Keeler, the formidable head of the rival Keeler crime family, while Cal stars as his son, Aidan Keeler.
The pair join an impressive cast that already includes Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton, who will play Duke and Charles Shelby respectively.
There is more Irish talent on board too, with Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee returning to reprise their fan-favourite roles as Charlie Strong and Johnny Dogs from both the original series and the recent Peaky Blinders film, The Immortal Man.
The spin-off takes place a decade after the events of the film, which saw Cillian Murphy return as Tommy Shelby and Barry Keoghan star as Duke Shelby.

While Tommy Shelby remains one of television’s most beloved characters, the new series will shift its focus to the younger generation as they attempt to rebuild Birmingham and establish their place in a rapidly changing world.
When the project was first announced, creator Steven Knight teased that viewers are in for something special.
“The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel, and it will be a hell of a ride,” he said.
The series has already been commissioned for two seasons and will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and Ireland, while international audiences will be able to watch on Netflix.
