Ryan Tubridy has reunited with 2020’s Late Late Toy Show star Adam King during the Ireland versus Scotland match at the Aviva Stadium.
Ryan was attending the game with his younger brother Garrett, sharing a snap of the pair enjoying themselves, writing; “The sun is shining on Ireland at half time Ireland leading Scotland 2-0 …That’s my brother Garrett… The sporty one.”
Later on during the match, the presenter ran into Adam and his family in the stadium. Sharing his delight at being reunited with the Toy Show guest.
Getting a photo with Adam and his family Ryan captioned the post; “I found our lucky charm! My dear friend, Adam King and family.”
The adorable 6-year-old originally won the hearts of the nation during his appearance on the Late Late Toy show in 2020, talking about his brittle bone condition, Osteogenesis imperfecta, and giving Ryan a hand-drawn card of a virtual hug.
The virtual hug was later printed onto cards and mass produced, raising money for Adam and various charities across the nation.
But yesterdays match marked the first time he and Ryan shared a real hug. Capturing the moment, Ryan wrote; “And after two years, 5 times on the (The Late Late Show) and all the lockdowns … finally … a real hug.”
Adam’s A Hug For You campaign has done extremely well, even partnering with An Post for St Patrick’s Day this year.
Announcing his news on Instagram Adam’s account explained that people could send free virtual hugs to loved ones all around the world for St Patrick’s Day.
The announcement read, “*CÉAD MÍLE HUGS!!* We promised a big announcement – and this is our biggest yet!!!
