It’s Maura Higgins’ world, and we’re just living in it.
She has just gone from strength to strength in recent years, appearing on The Traitors US and is preparing to take part in Dancing with the Stars over in the States.
But now she is stepping into the biggest role yet.
Disney+ has confirmed that she will present a new season of Blind Date in 2027.

She is stepping into the role that was made famous by the one and only, Cilla Black.
The streaming service is bringing the beloved dating show back to life next year with our very own Maura at the helm of the show.
They shared the news on social media with a picture of the Longford woman with the caption: “Blind Date host, what’s your name and where d’ya come from?
“It’s… Maura Higgins.”

The show originally launched on ITV in 1985 and aired for nearly 20 years.
It was then rebooted on Channel 5 between 2017 and 2019.
Now, almost 10 years later, it looks like our Maura will be bringing her signature star power to the dating show.
We can’t wait to watch!
