Ronan Keating opens up about how he looks after his mental health

This week Ronan Keating joined Loose Women for a one-off special on International Men’s Day. Whilst on the show he was joined by Roman Kemp, Marvin Humes and Iain Stirling and the conversation turned to mental health.

Speaking about it on the show, the panellists discussed how important it is for men to speak out and ask for help. Ronan revealed that he has learned to do this himself; “I get help whenever I am feeling fragile, if I need to lean on somebody.”

The Boyzone singer shared that his wife, Storm can always spot if something is up; “My wife can tell if I am over-stressed, working too hard, things are getting on my back.”

“Or maybe it’s a certain date that reminds me of something that’s happened, someone who has passed away – I talk to my therapist Dan. I will say to Storm, ‘Do you think it’s time to speak to Dan?’”

“Storm and I can have conversations but me and Dan don’t live under the same roof. He gives me tools and I can take those home and maybe be a better person.”
