Ronan Keating has been forced to shut down an online rumour about his health.
The singer took to social media to reassure fans he is “super fit and healthy” after a false post began circulating online claiming he was due to undergo surgery.
Explaining how the rumour came to his attention, Ronan revealed that a concerned friend had reached out after seeing the post.
“One of my good friends reached out with a broken heart and said, ‘Are you okay, mate? I just heard the news’,” he shared.

“Somebody posted on Facebook that I was going into an operation or something.
“It’s been going around for a while.
“I haven’t been in an operation, and I am super fit and healthy and loving life — everything is grand!”
He also warned fans to be cautious of fake accounts and scams circulating online.

“If anyone reaches out to you on social media pretending to be me or looking for money or anything like that, it’s not me, guys,” he continued.
“Unless it’s me saying it to you — and I know with AI it might look like me — but if it’s not through my official channels, then it’s someone else pretending to be me.”
“I’m sorry if it wasted your time, and thank you for your concern.”
We’re glad to hear he’s okay!
