Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan starred in sci-fi film, Foe together.
However, due to the actors’ strike they were unable to speak about their time working together.
And it’s safe to say that we are devastated!
Now with the strike coming to an end, Paul took to social media to share some behind the scenes snaps of the pair of them on set.
The Maynooth man shared a video of Saoirse running in the desert with the sun shining behind her.
In another snap, the pair both beam at the camera as they pose for a selfie.
How cute are these two?
In another snap, Saoirse looks away from the camera with a coffee cup in her hand as they enjoy some down time on set.
The film, which is currently in cinemas, follows Paul and Saoirse as a married couple in the future.
Saoirse plays Hen while Paul plays Junior. The married couple are alone on their farm in 2065 when an uninvited stranger played by English actor Aaron Pierre shows up at their door with the proposal of a lifetime.
But it’s just for Junior, who will have to leave their farm. He has been asked to pilot a space program and leave his wife behind to be looked over by an artificial version of him.
The synopsis for the film reads: “Academy Award nominees Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal star in Foe, a haunting exploration of marriage and identity set in an uncertain world. Hen and Junior farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior’s family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger (Aaron Pierre) shows up at their door with a startling proposal.
“Based on best-selling author Iain Reid’s novel, directed by Garth Davis, and co-written by Davis and Reid, Foe’s mesmerizing imagery and persistent questions about the nature of humanity (and artificial humanity) bring the not-too-distant future to luminous life.”
This film really does look unmissable with Saoirse already being tipped for another Oscar nomination for her role in it.
It’s not the only film we will see Paul in in the coming months, he will also appear in All of Us Strangers. You can find out more about that here.
