Radio star Louise Duffy has opened up about her upcoming wedding to All-Star Kerry footballer, saying it will not be as extravagant as other celebrity nuptials.
The popular broadcaster spoke exclusively with our sister mag, TVNow this week about her wedding to the GAA star, saying it will probably take place early next year, but the pair are still in the planning stage.
“Nothing is set in stone, we’re just getting organised,” she said. “I’m a home bird so I will be getting married in Ireland, but it’ll be very low key. Completely low key is the way to go for us.”
The Today FM presenter said that with music being a prominent feature of her radio show, she’s constantly on the look out for wedding bands.
“I’m looking around and all the great bands are booked up – they are jam packed with their schedules. There is one I have my eye on so I’ll try and nab them. That’s a big part of the wedding – the music makes the evening.”
Louise also revealed that she can’t pin-point the moment she knew Paul was the man for her, but the pair clicked instantly.
“I think when you sit down with someone and you just click and have brilliant fun together… He’s great craic and we really clicked. I couldn’t tell you when that realisation dawned on me.”
The Mayo native gave us an insight into a typical Sunday for the happy couple also, and VIP Towers agrees that it sounds like the perfect way to spend our favourite lazy day of the week.
“I’m in the throes of boxsets at the moment, I’m just finished Breaking Bad, I’m all about Game of Thrones and we’re kicking off Better Call Saul,” she said. “I’d also go for a walk in Killiney, get lunch, go home, and get cosy with the tv for the evening.”
