Laura Fox is in her bridal era.

She jokes that she and her partner, Brian Moran, never ever planned to get married. But now they’re having not one but two weddings.

The pair plan to tie the knot in Italy later this summer, but beforehand they legally wed in Ireland.

She gushes to VIP Magazine about her legal ceremony.

“It was so fun from start to finish, like I’m normally quite a chill person because I think working in live radio and live telly does that to you. I don’t think I could have anticipated how chilled out I was going to be for the day. Like my bridesmaid cried at one point because she looked at me and went, ‘You should maybe be a bit more stressed’,” she says with a laugh.

She enthuses: “It was absolutely fab, it was just, it was a lovely day. And I know people always say like that it’s like the best day of your life and I never fully believed it.

“But there’s something just so gorgeous about having all these people that you love in one room and they all just are there for you. I love being a centre of attention, okay, I’m really enjoying it.”

Laura originally planned to legally get married in Ireland with just their witnesses. However, plans changed for the better with the newlyweds being joined by family and friends.

The way that the getting legally married in Italy works, it’s a lot of paperwork and a lot of extra steps if you want to do it over there. So most people just do it here first and then do the big party over there.

“A lot of people just do, they’re two people and they’re two witnesses and that’s it. We had kind of at the beginning floated that and then my family were very much like are you denying us of a day out.

“I was like, ‘Well it’s Tuesday because that’s the only day that I can make work.’ and they went, ‘That’s what annual leave is for’! I floated it out to a lot of my friends and they were like, ‘Excellent sign us up!’ When I was putting it out to people I was like, ‘Obviously you’re already coming to Italy in August so do not feel pressured to come here’.

“I couldn’t get over how much of our friends and family actually wanted to be there. I’m so glad that we did it the way that we did it, it was just so fun.”

She adds: “There are so many moments in life when you get to a certain age, and I’m already coming to it which is really sad, where the only time that you manage to get to people and to see everybody in this big capacity is when you go to funerals. That’s tragic, so right now, being able to go let’s get together for a celebration and a good reason is just fantastic.”

She’ll fly out to Italy in August for their big, big day surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

“I thought we were giddy because we went over to a menu tasting about three weeks ago, and then after last Tuesday, we’re now like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t wait’, let’s get the whole party on the road, like let’s get going.”
