Colin Farrell

Colin Farrell is gearing up for a major on-screen reunion, and it’s one fans of In Bruges won’t want to miss.

The Irish actor is set to star alongside Ralph Fiennes once again in Art, an English-language adaptation of the acclaimed play by Yasmina Reza.

According to US entertainment trade publication Deadline, the upcoming comedy will also feature Wagner Moura.

So what exactly can viewers expect?

Well, the plot centres on three long-time friends whose relationship is thrown into turmoil after one of them purchases an expensive white painting.

While one sees it as a masterpiece, another finds it ridiculous, leaving the third stuck in the middle as tensions rise over what truly defines art.

Safe to say, we’re intrigued!!

The screenplay has been adapted for the big screen by two-time Oscar winner Christopher Hampton, known for his work on The Father and Dangerous Liaisons.

Originally premiering in Paris in 1994, Art has enjoyed huge success on stage, with productions in London’s West End, on Broadway and in Sydney.

Over the years, it has attracted a host of well-known actors, most recently starring Bobby Cannavale, James Corden and Neil Patrick Harris in a Broadway revival.

It’ll sadly be another while yet before this project comes to light, but until then, you can catch Colin back in action in season two of Sugar, which lands on Apple TV+ on 19 June.
