Lottie Ryan is the proudest mother to her son Wolf.

She jokes that she can’t stop posting his adorable little face on social media.

Despite her love for her two-year-old, she admits that she has decided not to have any more children.

In a candid chat with VIP Magazine ahead of the launch of her parenting podcast with her good pal Jennifer Zamperelli, she admits the “hardest” part of motherhood was her pregnancy.

“My pregnancy and the weeks after Wolf was born were very hard,” she tells us over Zoom, admitting she has never spoken to anyone about that time outside her family.

“Going home from the hospital without a baby was s**t.”

She admits that she went through a lot of trauma during that time and she is “still processing it two years later”.

One of the reasons why she and Jennifer came up with the podcast was because she had nowhere to turn to when she was struggling with her pregnancy.

“Nobody had spoken about that stuff to me. I was scared and confused but I thought this was all normal.”

Lottie welcomed her little boy eight weeks early in June 2021 and admits that spending the time in NICU was hard.

“That has put me off having another child,” she admits with a small frown.

Their podcast Jen & Lottie Do.…Parenting is the podcast that Lottie wishes she had when she was going through all of that.

“If I had the podcast, I think I would have felt a lot less lonely. Thinking about having something like this feels like taking a deep breath, it’s like a weight off my shoulders,” she confesses as we chat.

“It might be difficult for me to talk about going through it, but if it helps someone it will be so worth it.”

She adds that of course, she turned to social media and Mommy Bloggers for advice but felt that not even that was real.

“It all has the Paris filter on it, doesn’t it?” she laughs.

So their podcast definitely won’t have that gloss, she promises.

Jen & Lottie Do….Parenting will be available to listen to wherever you get your podcasts and to watch on YouTube from Wednesday 10th May
