Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie has sadly passed away aged 54 to the shock of the world.
Fans rushed to pay tribute to the only daughter of the King, Elvis Presley.
She shared several pictures of Lisa Marie on her Instagram, explaining that she had always felt a kinship with her.
In fact, the presenter was named after Lisa Marie.

“Saddened to hear of the tragic, sudden & poignant passing of Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of the legendary iconic Elvis,“ she wrote.
“I always feel oddly yet loosely connected to her as I was an only child too and was named after her… Lisa Sara Marie Cannon – Lisa Marie because my father like the rest of the world was an Elvis fan and my middle name Sara after Bob Dylan’s Wife.
“My father at the time was a budding Rock Journalist for Hot Press Magazine & the NME in London so music of all genres was always playing in our home. When people ask you the origin of your name or who your named after it was always ‘Elvis’ daughter & Bob Dylan’s Wife’ which always got a smile.“
She went on to say: “Having visited Graceland with my Dad on an incredibly memorable trip to Memphis & taking photos beside her namesake the Lisa Marie Plane at Graceland. I’ve always followed her colourful life with interest. Lisa in her short life seemed to suffer so much grief, loss & personal struggles & utter heartbreak with the untimely death of her father at 9 & the devastating suicide of her son Benjamin. The latter of which she said she could never recover.“
Lisa concluded: “While death stings for those of us who are sadly left behind, I’m sure the reunion with her son and dad is glorious. My prayers today are with her Mother Priscilla Presley, Children, loved ones & Elvis fans like myself around the world.“

Ryan Tubridy also shared a picture of Lisa Marie with her father Elvis writing: “Heartbreaking to hear that Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla died last night at the age of 54. It would be lovely to think that Dad and daughter are catching up now, somewhere, somehow.“
Glenda Gilson and Karen Koster also took the opportunity to pay tribute to Lisa Marie.
Lisa Marie’s mother Priscilla released a statement on her Instagram shortly before her passing asking for prayers and telling followers that her daughter had been hospitalised.
It read: “My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time -Priscilla Presley.”
Priscilla later shared a heart-breaking statement to PEOPLE saying: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known.”
Her cause of death has not yet been reported, however, a spokesperson for a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told Entertainment Tonight the singer suffered a cardiac arrest earlier that day.
