They’ve had a turbulent relationship, but Jeremy McConnell has denied Stephanie Davis was violent with him over the weekend.
The CBB star posted a snap of him sporting a painful looking black eye, prompting his followers to think Steph hit him in a drunken rage.
But the Dubliner hit back at the rumours, claiming he was in fact bottled by a random stranger as he made his way home from his night out.
“Best night last night with loved ones and for the low life that threw a bottle at my face on way home and ran. Say you feel hard as nails,” he tweeted.
“People try to say Steph attacked me,” he added. “Give us a day off.”
The incident comes after Stephanie took to Twitter to rant about the rumours that herself and Jeremy’s relationship is a “showmance”.
The actress insisted that what they have is real, and that people are just talking about them to make themselves relevant.
In the posts, Stephanie tweeted: “Everyone has there own relationship ours just seems to boringly get talked about a lot at the moment.” “With others trying to cling on to us in the same game to keep them selfs (sic) relevant. Boring… me and jez are happy and that’s all that matters… nothing nice to say don’t say it”
