2FM’s Jennifer Zamparelli and Bernard O’Shea are in talks with RTE about filming a second series of their hilarious sitcom, Bridget and Eamon.
The pair wrote the show together and are now set to do it all again for season two.
Bridget and Eamon follows the life of an unhappily married couple in the 1980’s. The couple live somewhere in the Irish midlands with an undisclosed number of children and get themselves into all sorts of hilarious situations.
Jen revealed to the Irish Mirror that there are a lot of ideas going around about the new series and they plan on continuing with the same format they had for series one.
“We’re talking about it – hopefully there’ll be another season. There are a lot of ideas floating around.
“I think we’ll continue on because we only did six episodes and a lot of series are longer now,” she said.
The second series will still be set in 1980’s Ireland, with appearances of her hit hairstyle, the “choppy-changey” and maybe even a trip to Naas!
“There’s a lot more to do with them – we wouldn’t change it too drastically,” Jen said. “We’re sticking in the 80s for now.”
We can’t wait to see the second series!
