UFC champ Conor McGregor has announced that he never wants to fight in Las Vegas ever again, following the hefty fine he was issued by the Nevada State Athletic Commission earlier this week.

Crumlin native Conor was given a fine of $150,000 and 50 hours community service for throwing a glass bottle into the crowd at a press conference for his UFC 202 fight back in August of this year.

The Notorious reportedly told UFC President Dana White that he never wants to step foot in the ring in Vegas again, because of the large sum he was ordered to pay.

Speaking to Fox Sports Dana White said, “Conor McGregor hit me yesterday and said, ‘I don’t ever want to fight in Nevada again. Ever.’

He’s not happy about the hefty fine.

“Now how does that make sense for the state of Nevada, that you’re going to try and fine this kid – and Nate – that much money. It just makes people not want to come and fight in our state and that’s not a good thing.

“And guess what!? Conor McGregor doesn’t need Nevada. He could fight anywhere. He could fight in Iowa, okay.

“We can put his fight on an Island off the coast of anywhere… and it just makes no sense for the state.“

Conor is set to take on Eddie Alvarez next month at Madison Square Garden in New York. If he’s victorious he will the UFC’s first two-weight champion.
