The Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas special introduced viewers to the new Rory.
The character who is Agnes’s son was originally played by Rory Cowan, who left this year after revealing he was no longer happy on the show.
His departure meant that the character was replaced by a new actor.

Damien McKiernan made his debut on Christmas day but fans aren’t welcoming the change.
Some loyal fans defended the new actor, encouraging other viewers to give him a chance.
