Eoghan McDermott thanks fans for support after St. Stephen’s night attack

The broadcaster was knocked unconscious in a vicious attack.

Eoghan McDermott has thanked fans for their support ad well wishes after he revealed he was attacked on Stephen’s night.

The incident occurred when the Limerick native was walking down an unnamed road and he was knocked unconscious by an attacker.

The broadcaster was understandably shook from the incident and he suffered a concussion which resulted in him having to get a brain scan.

Eoghan took to Twitter to describe the incident and to let his attacker know that they won’t get away with it.

“Some coward jumped me from behind as I was walking down the road last night, got knocked unconscious. Brain scan, concussion. I’ll find you!” he wrote.

The 2fm DJ was inundated with well wishes and support when he revealed the traumatising experience.

One fan commented saying, “Oh you poor thing! That’s awful. I hope the police can track down the coward. Rest up & feel better soon.”

Another said, “It’s absolutely shocking. I hope you feel better soon & that the lowlife who did it will be caught!”

Eoghan took to Twitter  to thank fans and friends for their unwavering support.

“Thanks for all the kind msgs. Rough today, lots of nausea, vomiting, shooting headaches. Will speak to Gardai soon as I can leave the house.”
