Daniel O’Donnell celebrated his 61st birthday over the weekend but the celebrations are not over yet!
His friend and fellow DWTS contest didn’t want to let the event pass without marking it, even if she was a little late to the party, posting a belated birthday message she wrote;
“Happy Belated Birthday to the sweetest man in the business. Daniel, took time out of his busy schedule last year to come and see one of my Dolly Songbook shows. I was totally blown away by the lovely words he had to say. Happy birthday Daniel O’Donnell and thanks for everything you do for us all ❤️”
Daniel and Cliona share a love for country music, have previously performed together and were both in the DWTS cast in 2021, with their similarities it’s no surprise the pair have remained good friends.
Fans of Daniel also shared kind words in the comments of the post with one writing, “Sweet and caring man indeed. Beautiful pic ❤️” and another saying, “Two of the best together.”
Cliona has had a very busy year, back in May, the singer married Simon Sheerin in a stunning celebration, and filmed it for the reality show, Cliona And Simon: From This Moment On. With Cliona revealing she and her hubby loved the experience so much, they have some other exciting projects on the horizon.
Telling the Sunday World: “When Simon and I were being filmed we felt very comfortable. They were able to keep ‘us’ and how we are in real life,”
“There are some exciting things in the pipeline, and we’re looking at a few things that might be coming up soon. Watch this space.”
Cliona also opened up about meeting her, now, husband.
Simon first asked Cliona to dinner, five years ago. With the country starlet initially turning him down to focus on her career.
As she explained: “At the time I was so busy and not in the frame of mind for dating because I was concentrating on my career.”
“When he asked me, I wasn’t ready at the time, but we laugh about it now.”
