It was a big celebration for Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick this weekend.
The couple celebrated 30 years together and 25 years of creating magical pantos with a star-studded bash.
The party at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, was attended by family, friends and many familiar faces from the world of TV as well as those who had starred in panto.ie
The Brass Monkeys made a rousing entrance to start proceedings, followed by some of Ireland’s top drag performers Davina Devine and Dolly and a special surprise from the legendary Mr Pussy. Some past and present panto performers put on a surprise musical set and the night was topped off with a belting performance by XFactor star Mary Byrne.
Celebrating with the famous couple was Claire Byrne, An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Muireann O Connell, Tommy Bowe, Karen Koster, Martin King and Jenny McCarthy, Adele King Aka Twink, Jenny Dixon and husband Tom Neville, Davina Devine, Mary Byrne, and many more.
The couple tied the knot in 2011 with a civil partnership, after 18 years together.
They said ‘I do’ at the Unitarian Church in St Stephen’s Green, Dublin surrounded by friends and family and celebrated with a reception at the Mansion House afterwards.
TV personality Derek Mooney acted as best man, while Brian Kennedy performed a cover of Somewhere from the musical West Side Story during the ceremony.
