Fitness influencer Leanne Moore has opened up about suffering a devastating miscarriage
The former member of Irish girl band Liir, who is now a fitness fanatic and gym owner in her hometown of Limerick, revealed that herself and fiance David Behan sadly lost their pregnancy last year.
“Today I took some me time. Because I needed it,” Leanne captioned a heartfelt quote on Instagram.
“Today marked one year since our experience with a missed miscarriage and I just decided to have a day of self-care and being kind to myself.
“I wanted to share this little post for two reasons. Firstly to let anyone going through something similar know that I know how tough it is to feel what you feel right now, you are not alone.
“And secondly to remind each and every person that social media depicts quite often “the best” of peoples lives. Behind those little squares there can be struggles that you may know nothing about. Being kind to ourselves and to others is our greatest power.
“It’s not a topic that many people speak out about and I can fully understand why but for me sharing it was important so that someone else, in the very same shoes, might get comfort in knowing they are not alone.”
The singer also opened up about her sad loss on her personal blog, where she revealed that the pair had suffered another miscarriage just a few months later.
“I cried and cried with tears of happiness when those two pink lines appeared again some months later. I was hopeful but it just wasn’t meant to be. Miscarriages are made even tougher by the fact that more often than not, the reasons cannot be explained.”
Leanne and David, who is well known for his role on Tallafornia, announced their engagement back in 2017.
