Following a long stint of heartbreak, it seems Sir Bob Geldof has finally something to celebrate as he has reportedly married his longtime partner Jeanne Marine.
According to UK newspaper The Sun, the Boomtown Rats rocker tied the knot with his partner of 19 years in an intimate ceremony with close family members in the South of France.
The 63-year-old musician was initially reported to have said ‘I do’ with the French actress in England, but it’s now reported that they wed in beach commune Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer.
A source told the paper: “(His daughter) Fifi gave the game away when she panicked about getting her passport sorted for her dad’s wedding,” a source told the paper.
They added: “Jeanne has connections to Rayol Canadel so it all makes sense.”
Furthermore, 32-year-old Fifi seemed to have alluded to the wedding on Instagram, sources report. Although her profile is private on the social media network, it’s claimed she described herself and fiancé Andrew Robertson as ‘wedding w**kers’ in a recent post.
This is Bob’s second marriage, having been married to Paula Yates, who he had three children with, Fifi, Peaches and Pixie, before they divorced in 1996.
His proposal to Jeanne came soon after the tragic death of daughter Peaches of a drugs overdose in April 2014.
